Welcome to the homepage of my personal amateur radio station. You are also welcome to visit my blog.
This is the amateur radio callsign I currently use, with the station located in Tokyo, Japan. You can switch to my previous callsign, BD4WXB, using the link at the top of the page.
As you can see, this page vibecoded. This was my first vibecoding project, and it ended up taking 26 hours -- far longer than I expected. My feeling is that AI often produces code that lacks taste. With high-performance LLM models, it’s easy to vibecode 'usable' front-end code. But it’s difficult to generate code that’s elegant, comprehensive (for example, you’ll notice this page has I18n, A11y, printing, and dark mode support), and visually appealing. Yet, it's still far easier than writing from scratch.
I put some longer notes about my amateur radio station on my blog. The link is here.
This station has both a fixed station and a mobile station license. The former currently supports up to 100 W and is used for my only HF rig at the moment, the IC-7300. The latter is for handheld operation.
