chariri's Personal Amateur Radio Station

BD4WXB

Station Overview

忘れたくない想い、ありますか?

ef - a tale of memories.

Welcome to the homepage of my personal amateur radio station. You are also welcome to visit my blog.

Since I have left Nanjing, the callsign BD4WXB has been inactive since September 3, 2025. You can use the links at the top of this page to switch to the callsign I currently use: JL1HRE.

As you can see, this page vibecoded. This was my first vibecoding project, and it ended up taking 26 hours -- far longer than I expected. My feeling is that AI often produces code that lacks taste. With high-performance LLM models, it’s easy to vibecode 'usable' front-end code. But it’s difficult to generate code that’s elegant, comprehensive (for example, you’ll notice this page has I18n, A11y, printing, and dark mode support), and visually appealing. Yet, it's still far easier than writing from scratch.

Most of my longer notes and murmuring about amateur radio are on my blog. The link is here.

QSL Policy

For each contact, I will send a paper card when any of the following applies:

  • we agreed during the QSO how the cards would be exchanged;
  • the other station's mailing address can be easily found on QRZ.com or elsewhere, and the contact was neither a contest QSO nor an FT8 QSO;
  • I receive a card from the other station first;

In other cases, I will only upload the log to this site, LoTW, and QRZ.com. You can still contact me through the email or mailing address above if you want a card. When sending me a card or letter, no SASE is needed. For OMs with frequent contacts, I may combine several QSOs into one outgoing card, or omit some of them.

I do not exchange eyeball QSL cards unless we have actually met offline.
